                      A medical scribe is a paraprofessional in the allied health field who focuses on documenting doctor-patient interactions as they happen, such as during physical exams. Also, they locate data and patients for doctors and finish the paperwork required for patient treatment. The position may also be known as clinical scribe, ER scribe, ED scribe, or plain scribe, depending on the area of practise the scribe works in. A scribe has received training in managing health information and using health information technology to do so. In a hospital or clinic, a scribe may work physically there or remotely from a HIPAA-secure location. Virtual medical scribes are scribes who conduct their business remotely.

DOES MEDICAL SCRIBING NEED TRAINING?
