A medical scribe is a paraprofessional in the allied health field who focuses on documenting doctor-patient interactions as they happen, such as during physical exams. The position may also be known as clinical scribe, ER scribe, ED scribe, or plain scribe, depending on the area of practise the scribe works in. A scribe has received training in managing health information and using health information technology to do so. DOES MEDICAL SCRIBING NEED TRAINING?
